Spiritual Hope

When we go through times of change or distress in our life, we often begin to question what life is all about. How do we make sense of life in times of change and stress? How do we find comfort and hope? For many of us these questions stir up in us an awareness that we have spiritual needs as well as physical, mental and emotional ones.

Where can I find the security to live through the changes that are going on in my life? Is there someone greater than I, who cares and can give me wisdom and strength to weather the challenges of life? What does the future hold and how can I face it?

Of the many sources of spiritual wholeness that are on offer in the bewildering world we live in, Christianity is the one where I have found the peace and strength to face life and the future.

A loving, but holy, creator God who wants a personal relationship with those He has created is at the heart of the Christian faith, a God who is both far greater than us, but also deeply involved in our lives through His Son, Jesus, who came and lived on this earth among us for a time. The bible tells the story of God’s dealing with mankind and gives answers to many of the big questions of life and how we can find hope and a secure future in relationship with Him.

God also cares deeply about marriage – it was His idea. He wants married couples to be committed to each other and to love each other and through their love to reveal His love to those around them, particularly their children. In many ways it is only through His enabling that we can live out our vows to one another. He desires your marriage to be a blessing to you and to others.

Discovering more about God brings us face to face with a choice – whether to believe what He has said about himself through the bible and through Jesus or whether to dismiss Him. This choice may be the most important one that you will ever make - to have the One, who made this amazing world, looking after us for ever or to go our own way and try to work out our messy lives alone. If you are in search of answers, of hope, of peace and security why not find out more here.
