Family Education Trust
Introduction
The Family Education Trust, established in the early 1970s as an independent think-tank, conducts research into the causes and effects of family breakdown. It seeks to promote responsible attitudes to marriage and family life and publishes a quarterly Family Bulletin containing news and comment based on the findings of reputable research. It also publishes books, booklets, factsheets and leaflets to support the family founded on marriage. Over the past four decades, it has published material on marriage, divorce, daycare, child abuse, sex education, teenage pregnancy, the discipline of children and children's rights.
The Trust serves as a point of contact for all sections of the media seeking informed comment on family-related issues, and submits evidence to parliamentary bodies in response to consultations and inquiries. The Trust also provides advice to concerned parents and others who are seeking to promote responsible attitudes to marriage and family life in their own communities.
